iMoogi.TV Sponsoring the UWA Freedom Project

Spread the love

iMoogi.TV and Nu Vibez Magazine (nuvibezmag.com) are proud to sponsor the University of Western Austrailia’s (UWA) Freedom Project by providing, iMoogi.TV prime channel distribution on our network, along with write-ups in Nu Vibez Magazine to those top artists chosen by the UWA panel.
The Freedom Project is a 2D/3D Art & Film Event organized jointly by the University of Western Australia, along with members of the Virtual Ability group, and the Centre for ME/CFS and Other Invisible Illnesses* group in Second Life. We are calling for artists and film makers from all over the world who self-identify as having a disability or a chronic illness, to create an artwork or a film/machinima on the theme of ‘Freedom’, showing how virtual worlds have in some way helped them or those around them.  While not a contest, their are cash prizes and awards for the top 10 favorites of the review panel.
“I’ve always believed strongly in the power of artistic expression in helping people to heal or to cope with difficult situations or health issues,” shared CEO, Tracy Renee.  “This particular project really caught my eye because of its display of the power of virtual environments to the health, well being and psyche of those with disabilities and illnesses,” Tracy continued.  “There are some seriously talented people who, without these environments, might not get an opportunity to nurture and grow these skills otherwise,” she concludes.
Look for the best from this project to become available here on iMoogi.tv in February of 2014.
